The grounds are set 200 meters back from the main road that runs along the western coastline of Barbados. This makes it quieter and more private than most villas that are found along the coast.
The area is surrounded by lush tropically landscaped gardens and the natural backdrop of Mount Standfast. The swimming pool is set up against a natural coral stone alcove at the foot of Mount Standfast. It is a very private space where it’s not uncommon to see green monkeys playing in the trees. The pool is shared with the other 8 units at the Golden Acre development.
Golden Acre is 250 meters from Alleynes beach. Alleynes is one of the most beautiful beaches in Barbados with some of the best snorkeling to be found on the island.
It takes 3 to 4 minutes to walk to the beach from the grounds. Alleynes is one of the longest beaches in Barbados at a bit less than 1km in length. Alleynes offers ideal swimming conditions with the warm, calm tropical waters of the Caribbean sea. It is a long sandy beach with 2 reefs to snorkel. It's also one of the best spots swim with the sea turtles. There are two beach bars located on Alleynes beach (Juju's and Santi) and also Lone Star Restaurant which offers a high end dining experience.
