Highgate History
The precise date of Highgate House is not known but it has been noted as one of the oldest houses in Bridgetown. It is estimated that the historic home dates back to the mid 1700's where it has been found mentioned in the first owners will and additionally, in President George Washington's diary, where he mentions accepting an invitation to stay at the home.
